    Ingredients

    1/2 cup of Sabudana (tapioca or pearl sago)
    4 cups (1 liter) milk
    4 tablespoons of sugar
    1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder (Elaichi)
    4-5 strands of saffron (kesar), dissolved in 1 tablespoon of milk
    2 tablespoons sliced ​​almonds (optional)
    1/2 cup of water

    Addresses

    1. Wash the sabudana in water and drain it.
    2. Soak in 1/2 cup of water for 2 hours. They will absorb almost all the water and their size will increase. If you want to use oversized sabudana, soak them in 1 cup of water for at least 5 hours before cooking.

    4. When the milk boils, add soaked sabudana.
    5. Add sugar and stir well until completely dissolved.

    7. Reduce heat to low and add cardamom powder and dissolved saffron.
    8. Stir continuously and cook until the milk becomes thick. It will take approximately 5-7 minutes.
    9. Turn off the flame and transfer the prepared sabudana kheer to a serving bowl. Garnish with sliced ​​almonds and serve hot or cold.

    Cook time: 20 minutes.
